the students will be able to supervise operations and maintenance of
faecal sludge treatment plant (FSTP), supervise operations and
maintenance of wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), supervise
operations and maintenance of solid waste management facility,
supervise maintenance of sewer network

apply computerized operation and maintenance technology in sanitation
facilities and manage stock of consumables and spare parts.

Environmental microbiology and Chemical Kinetics module describe the skills and knowledge required to biologically perform wastewater and sewage treatment, understand the role of microorganisms in wastewater treatment which help to treat and purify wastewater and make it less harmful to the environment. Besides, it describes the importance of the order of reaction which is very necessary to determine the rate of reactions to successfully operate the wastewater treatment plant.
