This module describes the skills, knowledge, and attitude required to perform industrial
instrumentation and calibration. This module is intended for students pursuing a Mechatronics diploma. At the end of this module, the students will be able to Measure,
calibrate, and maintain instruments. They will also learn analytical and virtual
instrumentation.
This Competency standard deal with the skills and knowledge required to identify industrial electric
motors, perform installation of DC and AC motor as well as maintain and troubleshoot industrial
electric motors.
The trainee will be required to follow company guidelines as well as the procedure for carrying out industrial motor installation.

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to install CAD
software modeling parts, assembling parts, generating drawings from parts and or
assembly of the machine parts and or mechanical components as well as mechanical
systems. At the end of this module, the students will be able to design using CAD
different engineering parts or system of mechanical systems to perform a specific
function in mechanical field as well as other industrial field. The student will also be
able to analyze and or test parts under different nature of loads made using different
mechanical joining means or methods. They will be able to exercises some initiatives
and independence in carrying out defined activities at professional level.
This module aims at equipping the learner with skills, knowledge and attitudes required to apply engineering ethics that facilitate effective learning at the workplace. After completion of this module, learner will be able to describe ethics concept, apply engineering ethics and Apply professional policy, laws and regulations as well.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to operate different
conventional machine tools to produce mechanical parts. This module is intended to
students pursuing diploma in mechatronics. At the end of this module, the students will
be able to prepare the work on conventional machine tools, perform engineering
measurements and operate machine tools by using different machine tools like drilling,
lathe, milling, and grinding machines
