Purpose statement

This module aims at equipping learners with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to facilitate training in the workplace.

 It will facilitate the learner to deliver at least two approved CBT format session plans - one using experiential learning and one using cooperative learning; with the use of observation checklists evidencing the competence in facilitating the approved session plans.

 (S)he can create two different types of learning resources with quality assured, justify how the learning resources enhance and motivate learning, adapt two quality-assured existing learning resources, justify how these adapted learning resources enhance learning, facilitate a CBT format session plans in using experiential learning and using cooperative learning.

(S)he can also apply the health and safety precautions effectively according to the standard, and organize the training workplace in a convenient manner related to the topic of the session.

At the end of this module, the learner will be competent to facilitate a competency-based learning process through CBT.

This module aims at equipping learner with skills and knowledge required to provide inclusive training in the workplace. It will facilitate the learner to use inclusive training and learning approaches in delivering sessions, contribute to gender mainstreaming, apply the techniques used to prevent Gender Based Violence (GBV). Indeed, this module will enable the learner to contribute to people with disability (ies) (PWD) mainstreaming, prevent HIV/ AIDS and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). Also, the learner will be able to raise awareness on Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection, non- communicable diseases prevention and finally overcome obstacles to effective learning in TVET schools.

At the end of this module, the learner will be able to promote inclusive training in TVET schools.

This module aims at equipping learners with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to engage in continuous professional development for a TVET Trainer.  It will facilitate the learner to make a complete SWOT (Strength-Weakness-Oppurtunities-Threats) analysis on continuous professional Development needs.  It will also help the learner to list the priorities in professional development including a justification. (S)He can make a personal professional development plan with a clear target to address the main priority in professional development and make a detailed report of the professional development activity including self and peer evaluation.

At the end of this module, the learner will be competent to engage in continuous professional development for him/her.
