Engineering Mechanics
Course Overview:
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to theoretical applications of engineering mechanics including the analysis of frames machines trusses and beam. This module is intended to trainees pursuing diploma in manufacturing technology. At the end of this module, the students will be able to describe fundamentals of engineering mechanics, describe forces, describe moment of forces, describe condition of equilibrium, analyze support reaction, analyze perfect frame, describe center of gravity and moment of inertia, describe friction. He or She will have the ability to exercise some initiative and independence in carrying out defined activities at a professional level.
Course Objectives:
- Develop a clear understanding of the core concepts of mechanics and their applications.
- Analyze static and dynamic systems using appropriate mathematical techniques.
- Apply the principles of equilibrium, motion, and energy to solve engineering problems.
- Enhance problem-solving skills through real-world applications and case studies.
