PHP plays a crucial role in the backend development of a website. It is integrated with multiple databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, PostgresSQL, and Oracle. Programming languages such as PHP run on frameworks that ease the web development process.
This module provides the learning of the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small, larger and complex network, configure a router and a switch for basic and advanced functionality.
The focus of this module also is on the WAN technologies and network services required by converged applications in a complex network, the selection criteria of network devices and WAN technologies to meet network requirements.
Having successfully completed this module, students should be able to understand the the overall system operation of mobile systems and their usefulness.
This core module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to design, develop and connect Java to a database. It facilitates effective development of softwares using Java as the backend language. The learner will be able to use different variables, implement OOP principles, and handle strings and exceptions. The le arner will apply AWT and Swing APIs to create GUIs. At the end of the module the learner will be able to connect Java to a database using JDBC library to produce complete software.
This module aims at providing students with the knowledge of network services and server roles which can be provided in the Microsoft Windows Server environment. It also provides them with the knowledge of how to install, troubleshoot and implement them in a Local Area Network.
