This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to control quality of and industrial product such as goods, spare parts, machines, and services. This module is intended to trainees pursuing advanced diploma in Manufacturing and Mining. At the end of this module, the students will be able to check workplace cleanliness, check production process, check final product status, check customer service. He or She will have the ability to exercise some initiative and independence in carrying out defined activities at a professional level
- Teacher: Jean Pierre NSABIMANA

Purpose statement
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required in heat and work and
those properties of matter that relate to heat and work even generating power and
refrigerate. Both power generation and refrigeration are usually accomplished by
thermodynamics system. This module is intended to trainees pursuing TVET diploma in
manufacturing technology. At the end of this module, trainees will be able to describe
common thermodynamic principles, describe thermodynamics laws, calculate
properties of gas during expansion and compression and Describe steam plants and
calculate thermal efficiency. They will be able to exercises some initiatives and
independence in carrying out defined activities at professional level.
- Teacher: Robert GAKWISI

Purpose statement
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude about the fundamentals of two foundations of industry: hydraulic and pneumatic power. This module is intended to trainees pursuing diploma in manufacturing technology. At the end of this module, the trainees will be able to describe hydraulic and pneumatic systems, design hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, use logic controllers in pneumatic and hydraulic systems and install hydraulic and pneumatic components. The trainees will have the ability to take some initiatives and independence in carrying out defined activities at professional level.
- Teacher: NKUBITO MUHAYEYEZU Jean Olivier

Dear Student, welcome to the CAD and Mechanical Design Module! In this module, you will gain the skills, knowledge, and professional attitudes required to use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) effectively. You will learn how to install CAD software, model and assemble mechanical parts, and generate technical drawings from your designs. You will also explore how to analyze and test mechanical components and systems under different load conditions using a variety of joining methods, linking theoretical concepts to practical applications.
By the end of the module, you will be able to take initiative and independently apply your learning to professional-level design and analysis tasks. This experience will prepare you to design, evaluate, and improve mechanical systems with confidence in real-world engineering contexts.
