This course helps the students to be familiar with driving heavy farm machinery such as tractors.
Physics Fundamentals is composed by three parts: Apply basic mechanics, apply fluid mechanics, and apply thermodynamics. To meet the practical requirements of agricultural machinery and systems, students studying agricultural mechanization benefit from having a solid understanding of mechanics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. While fluid mechanics aids in the design of efficient hydraulic and irrigation systems, mechanics help them comprehend the forces and stresses in structures. Managing storage conditions and maximizing the efficiency of machines are made easier by thermodynamics. Their ability to solve problems, make decisions, and interact with agricultural technologies effectively is improved by this physics basis.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to apply knowledge of advanced maintenance of farm machinery. It is intended for learner pursuing TVET Diploma in Agricultural mechanization technology. At the end of this module, learner will be able to:
- Perform daily maintenance of farm machinery;
- Perform periodical maintenance of farm machinery and;
- Conduct post maintenance activities.
- Qualified learners deemed competent to this competency may work alone or with others on routine tasks in various places such as private farmers, agricultural research institutions, and farmer’s cooperatives dealing with farm machinery maintenance.
in course assessment will be weighed at 50% ( 20% for Assignments, Theoretical Quizes and 30% Practical assessments) and Final Assessment ( 20 for Theoretical Exam and 30% Practical Assessment)
This module describes the skills, knowledge and
attitude required to operate farm machinery in crop establishment. This module
is intended to students pursuing TVET Diploma in Agricultural Mechanization
Technology. At the end of this module, the students will be able to operate
farm machinery in ploughing, in sowing, in transplanting and then perform post
operation activities.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to perform Animal
Traction. This module is intended to students pursuing TVET diploma in Agricultural
Mechanization technology. At the end of this module, the students will be able to
