MINERALS, PETROLEUM AND GAS EXPLORATION

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required toperform mineral sampling operation. This module is intended to students pursuing diploma in Mining Technology TVET level VI. This module is intended to students pursuing diploma in Mining Technology. At the end of this module, the students will be able to Identify the fundamentals of ore genesis, Identify the processes of formation of fossil fuels, Perform exploration by geophysics methods, Perform exploration by geochemistry methods, Perform exploration by remote sensing and photo-geology, Perform estimation and calculation of the ore reserves and work under minimum supervision.
