General chemistry

This course provides a basic understanding of Chemistry that is relevant to Civil  Engineering Students. It covers fundamentals of Inorganic Chemistry such as: atomic structure, periodic table of elements, extraction of some metals, chemical and physical properties of elements, chemical equilibrium and the application of Le Chatelier’s Principle. The course covers an introduction to Organic Chemistry: Hydrocarbons, Hydrocarbons derivatives, alcohols, etc and Engineering of Polymers.
