Advanced Diploma in Crop Production

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to manage horticultural crop pests and diseases.

It is intended for learners pursuing TVET diploma (REQF, level 6) in Crop production.

At the end of this module, students will be able to prepare for pests and diseases management, monitor pests and diseases in agricultural crops, and apply pest and disease management measures. Qualified students deemed competent to this competency work alone or with others on routine tasks in various places dealing with agricultural crop pests and diseases management such as private farmers, agricultural research institutions, farmers’ cooperatives, and companies.

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to integrate the  you in workplace for an industrial attachment program for this specific qualification. The module will allow you to investigate and secure industrial attachment place, deal with workplace challenges, comprehend the whole process of the industrial attachment program and be able to demonstrate the competencies acquired at school related with occupations within this qualification in the real workplace.

This module is intended for a trainee in Level 6, Diploma.

• Where a trainee acquires skills, knowledge and attitudes required to describe the occupation and learning process. 
• It focuses on ones’ participation as part of a team and respect the rules of the training environment. 
• It also comprises with respect the facilitation and apply learning methods and development of personal plans based on self-assessment practices.
